People in their house, I have seen placement of ancestral photograph on temple. Ancestral photos are the person who is not exists in this world, and attaching the same energy with divine energy. That is totally worst scenario. Also I have seen that people place a family photo and attach it with ancestral photo, which is totally negative energy. And adversely affects the living person.
